Attorney Mara Grillandini

grillandini-ridottaAttorney. Grillandini is an experienced matrimonial lawyer and seasoned litigator in family and probate matters, and other civil disputes. She was born in Trieste on May 16, 1967, and earned her law degree in 1993 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. She is licensed to practice law in Italy since 1999. For over a decade she was associated with the prestigious international law office in Rome of the Studio Legale Internazionale Mario Guttieres and Laura Remiddi. There Ms. Grillandini gained valuable professional experiences while working under the guidance of one of the senior partners of said firm, Mario Guttieres, Esq., a renowned international lawyer on many complex, high profile marital and custody disputes.

In 2009, Mara Grillandini joined forces with Alexander Guttieres, to form the International Law Offices of Guttieres & Grillandini. Given the firm’s international background, Atty. Grillandini is often engaged in family disputes, and other litigation involving parties of different nationalities that raise additional issues of private international law, such as questions regarding choice of applicable law and jurisdiction. Moreover, in view of her experience in private international law, Attorney Grillandini has successfully represented numerous clients in disputes arising from the international abduction of minors and other civil controversies relating to International Treaties, including the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, and the applicable Conventions and Regulations of the European Union.

In addition to her expertise in family law, Ms. Grillandini represents national and foreign corporations in litigation and arbitration proceedings for claims of breach of contract, in addition to individuals for personal injury claims arising from civil liability.
Throughout her career, Ms. Grillandini has lectured in various conferences and international symposiums, and has published several articles in legal periodicals on matters relating to Private International Law and Family Law.
